How to add new contacts

What is a contact?

Each email address is stored as a contact and the email address is the unique identifier of the contact.

A contact can also have additional details such as a name, address, age, and other data fields associated to them.

There are 2 ways to add new contacts

  1. Manually adding contacts one-by-one
  2. Importing contacts from a .CSV file

Adding contacts one at a time

Hover over ‘Subscribers’ on the navigation bar and then select ‘Contacts‘ from the dropdown.

Here you will see a list of your active subscribers. On the righthand side of the page, click on ‘Add contact‘.

You can then set each of the options and data fields for the contact. Enter the details and click ‘Save‘.

Uploading contacts from a spreadsheet or .CSV file

Hover over ‘Subscribers’ on the navigation bar and then select ‘Contacts‘ from the dropdown.

On the righthand side of the page, click on the dropdown arrow next to ‘Add contact’ and select ‘Import Contacts‘.

You can then select your file and set the options for the imported contacts. Click ‘Process’ when you’re done.

 

You will then see the data matching page. Click the dropdown menu of each field and select the appropriate label for each column or create a new data field.

If the field from your CSV matches a field in Wired Plus, it will automatically fill out the field for you.

Date import options

When you’re done, click ‘Save‘ at the bottom of the page and the contacts will be imported. If any record fails to import successfully, a faults file will be available for you to download.
